Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Harun Emre Doğan, who makes GIF Launcher as Hedaron ("we"). By installing or using GIF Launcher you accept them. The privacy policy explains what data the app and its server keep.

1. Who can use it

You must be at least 13, or older if your country sets a higher age for using online services without a parent's consent. If you use GIF Launcher for an organisation, you accept these terms for it.

2. Your profile

The app makes a profile the first time it connects. You choose a display name and can claim a unique @handle. Do not pick a name or handle that pretends to be someone else, or that is offensive. We can reclaim a handle that breaks this. Keep your recovery code private: anyone who has it can move your profile to their PC. You can delete your profile at any time from the Profile panel.

3. What you send

GIF Launcher puts links you choose on other people's screens. You are responsible for what you send and for having the right to share it. Do not use GIF Launcher to send:

• anything illegal, and in particular any sexual content involving a person under 18, which will be reported to the authorities;
• sexual, violent or shocking content to people who have not agreed to see it;
• harassment, threats, hate, or content that defames someone;
• someone's private information, or images of them they did not agree to share;
• work protected by copyright or other rights that you have no permission to share;
• malware, phishing, or links meant to track, deceive or exploit people.

Only send to people who want what you send on their screen. Do not use the app to spam, to overload the server, or to get around a block, a rate limit or a Pro feature.

4. Moderation

Anyone can block you, and a person who blocks you receives nothing from you. Anyone can report a person or a link from the app, or by email to hedaron23@gmail.com. We review reports and can hide links from the shared library, remove a handle, or suspend or delete a profile that breaks these terms. We do not watch what you send, and we are not able to review everything; if you see something that breaks these rules, please report it.

If you hold rights in something shared through GIF Launcher and want it removed from the library, write to the address above with a link to it and the grounds for your request.

5. The shared library

Search shows public links that several people have played, ranked by how well they match and how often they are played. These are links to media hosted elsewhere; we do not host or own the media, and listing it is not an endorsement. You can stop your plays from counting in Settings, App.

6. Other services

Media you play comes from other websites and services, under their own terms. GIF Launcher is not affiliated with or endorsed by them, and their names and marks belong to their owners. Search results come from their public pages, filtered for safe search; a filter can miss something, and you can report any result from its menu.

7. Pro

Pro adds the features listed on the GIF Launcher page. Prices are shown, and charged, at checkout through Stripe.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. To cancel, email the address above with the email you bought with; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• Lifetime licences, where offered, last as long as GIF Launcher is offered.
• A licence key works on one PC at a time. To move it to another PC, write to us.
• Refunds. If Pro does not work for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment, or of a lifetime purchase, and you get a full refund. Renewal payments are not refunded, but you can cancel at any time. This does not limit any right to a refund you have under consumer law.
• If a payment fails, Pro keeps working for 3 days while it is retried. A key shared, resold or used to get around the one-PC limit can be deactivated.

8. The software

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive licence to install and use GIF Launcher. Do not resell it, or attack, overload or try to break into its server. The app updates itself; some features may change or be removed over time, and the server may occasionally be unavailable. Open source parts of the app are covered by their own licences, listed in Settings, App.

9. Warranty and liability

GIF Launcher is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind beyond those the law requires. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

10. Ending

You can stop using GIF Launcher and delete your profile at any time. We can suspend or end access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms. If we end a paid subscription without such a breach, the unused part is refunded.

11. Changes

If these terms change, the new version is published here with a new date and the app asks you to accept it before you carry on. A change does not apply to a period you have already paid for if it would take something away from it.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim there.
